‘블루마운틴 아티스트’라고 불리는 수잔은 미국 여류시인입니다. 뉴저지 대학을 졸업해서 고등학교 교사 및 신문· 잡지기자로 거쳤고, 현재는 전문 작가로서 활동 중입니다.
미국의 시사주간지 Time은 “고도의 절제된 감각 속에, 당대의 시인이라면 바로 수잔 폴리 슈츠(In high emotion. . . the reigning star is Susan Polis Schutz. )”라고 극찬을 듣고 있습니다.
1999년 “The Bluemountain Art”는 詩집으로서는 유일하게 1천 2백만 부가 팔린 초베스트셀러 작품입니다. 그 중 아래의 “Love is˝는 “블루마운틴 아트”의 대표작이랄 수 있습니다.
